About A6 Media
A6 Media was originally formed as PFD Media in 1998. Over time, as parts of the consultant team changed, so too did the company name and A6 Media is now headed by two experienced IT and Design Consultants. The team are able to offer solutions at lower costs than most UK internet solution providers as the majority of development work is carried out by the team in Spain, where costs are lower than in the UK.
The heads of the team are Jon Lord and Barry Jones
Jon has worked in IT and graphic design for 12 years and has a wide range of Internet related experience, from developing user interfaces to managing web servers. Before concentrating on A6 Media, Jon worked for Tanning Technology - an IT 'heavy lifter' providing web solutions for global clients.
Barry has worked in the technology services arm of NatWest Bank in the UK as a designer, programmer and then senior manager for 18 years and is extensively experienced in the development of user friendly IT systems, such as those required by web sites.

Frustrated by cowboys
Having discovered that many small businesses were being ripped off by 'web design' companies who charge outrageous amounts of money for providing over-the-top, ugly web solutions, and discovering that a small business had only two real choices: 'use the expensive web designers', or 'DIY and obtain a less effective web presence', A6 Media decided to offer the market place a third choice. We offer an iterative development process whereby a small business can invest in their web site as they need to, paying only for what they need when they need it. As their requirements grow, so too can their website but the business can manage that growth process and thus the costs involved.

The A6 Media design team have experience in graphic and print design. We can provide business cards, stationery and design/produce advertising material such as promotional items and flyers - whether associated with a web site or not.
